BOY DIES AFTER OPERATIONS

Donald Tresler passed away at the Akron Hospital, Monday morning, September24, 1928, aged 14 years, 8 months, and 15 days. On September 6 he was operated upon for appendicitis and a few days later a second operation became necessary. He seemed to be getting along favorably until the complications set in that resulted in his death.

Donald the youngest son of A. B. Tresler, was born in Akron, January 9, 1914, and resided here all his life. He was a bright active lad and popular among his playmates and schoolmates. He fully realized that he could not live and a day or so before the end came sent a farewell message to his boyfriends and begged his dear ones not to feel too badly over his going. He bore his suffering with unusual courage and fortitude.

Besides his parents, he is survived by one sister, Miss Nellie Tresler, of Wahpeton, N. D.; two brothers, William last heard of in Texas, and Edward, of Yankton, S. D.; three half-sisters, Mrs. Emma Davis, Wahpeton, N. D.; Mrs. Lucille Peterson, San Francisco, Calif., and Miss Clarice Hendricks, of Ft. Worth, Texas; two half-brothers, Paul Hendricks, of Yankton, S. D., and Frank Hendricks, near Akron, The relatives have the sympathy of the community in their bereavement.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon in the Christian church, conducted by Rev. E. C. Davis. The pallbearers, from among Donald’s classmates at school, were Claude Seamands, Lowell Swift, Luverne Palmitier, Richard Bean, Richard Port, and Albert Pendergras, Interment was in Riverside Cemetery.
