RITES ARE HELD LAST FRIDAY FOR DOROTHY TRAUTT

Death Takes Esteemed Akron Young Woman After Long Illness

As mentioned in these columns last week, Miss Dorothy Trautt passed away at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Trautt, in this city, on Wednesday, April 17, 1946, after an extended illness, at the age of 27 years, 3 months, and 25 days.

Dorothy Teresa Trautt was born here December 23, 1918. She attended the local schools and graduated from Akron High School in 1935 and from the Sioux City School of Beauty Culture in 1936. She worked in her own shop here until illness overcame her. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, and the Catholic Daughters of America and the Royal Neighbors of America.

Miss Trautt possessed a most patient, loving disposition. Her cheerfulness and resignation made visiting with her an inspiration to all who knew her. She will be most sincerely missed in the home and among the any friends who held her in such high esteem.

Left to mourn her untimely departure are her devoted parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Trautt; two sisters, Mrs. Marie Heider and Mrs. Gertrude Blum, both of Akron, besides a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held last Friday, at 1 p.m., in St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Rev. Fr. Chas. Ernst officiating. Acting as pallbearers wee Stanley Bay, Jim Hulton, Leo Houlton, Joe Blum, Fay Trautt, and Loyd Lamoureux. Interment was in the Catholic cemetery.

Relatives and friends present from out of town were: Mr. and Mrs. Harry Bliss, Mr. and Mrs. John Bliss, Clarence Peck and Leo Houlton, of Sioux City; Mrs. Linden Anderson, and daughter, of Elk Point; Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Lilly, of Westfield; Mr. and Mrs. Loyd Lamourex, and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Houlton, of Merrill; Mrs. L. J. Houlton, of Merrill; Mrs. L. J. Houlton; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Houlton, of Vermillion.
