Last rites held Tuesday in Colorado for Mervin Moir
Mervin H. Moir, 73, 1432 Wonderview Court, Boulder, Colorado, passed away at Boulder Community hospital on (May 30, 1975).
Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 3 at the Howe Mortuary Chapel. Rev. Wallace Ford, pastor of First Christian Church and Rev. Loyd F. McLaughlin Jr. of Boulder First Church of the Nazerene officiating. Graveside rites were conducted by the AF & AM Freedom Lodge of Boulder.
Mr. Moir was born September 20, 1902, at Orange City, Iowa. He married Garnet Mann Rausch June 3, 1943, in Dakota City, Nebr. His parents were the late George and Mary (Tucker) Moir.
He was a member of the AF & AM Freedom Lodge 434, of Akron; Hall of Queen Esther Chapter 5 Order of the Eastern Star, and a member of the WAyfare, Dow Chemical, Boulder. He also was member of First Christian church of Boulder.
Mr. Moir farmed for many years in the Akron and Le Mars area, John Deere Implement dealer at Moville, Iowa, the latter years he was employed by Dow Chemical.
He is survived by his wife, Garnet, a daughter, Mary Ellen Miller, Boulder, Colo., a step-daughter, Barbara Pearson, Benicia, Calif.; a step-son, Donald Rausch, Mesa, Arizona; three brothers, Roy, Sioux City, Glenn, Le Mars, William, Onawa; a sister, Mrs. Ethel Laughton, Le Mars; seven grandchildren.nicia, Calif.; a step-son, Donald Rausch, Mesa, Arizona; three brothers, Roy, Sioux City, Glenn, Le Mars, William, Onawa; a sister, Mrs. Ethel Laughton, Le Mars; seven grandchildren.
