Ella Loretta Swayne was born at Denver Junction, Colo., on Sept. 10, 1881, and died suddenly in the home of her eldest daughter, Mrs. Emil Schultz near Milbank, S, D., on November 5, 1947. She was married to Frank H. June on September 30, 1902.

To this union were born nine children, eight of whom survive. (Verda) Mrs. Emil R. Schultz and Wallace June of Milbank; Stanley ,L.; Arthur F.;- and Melvin A. of Merrill; H. Dwight of; Marvin, S. D.; (Freda) Mrs. Harvey G. Clark of Sioux City and (Evelyn) Mrs. J. D. Carlock of Ringgold, Ga. One daughter, Ruth Etta and a sister, Mrs. Chris Lehmann preceded her in death.

She is also survived by two brothers, Jesse Swayne, Exeland, Wis., and Wm. Vorhees of Buehl, Idaho, and 19 grandchildren.

After she raised her children she devoted her life to nursing and caring for older people and always won the love and esteem of her patients because of her conscientious attention to her duties and fine Christian character. She also took a special keen interest in the class of Sunday school girls who attended the funeral in a body.

The funeral services were held in the Methodist church in Merrill on Sunday, Rev. W. C. Smith in charge.

All of her children, sons-in-law and daughters-in-law and nine grandchildren attended the funeral

The pall bearers were Urban Berner, Elmer Braune, Homer Brown, Ed. Mattas, Irvin Schindel and Earl Spies.

Among those who came to the funeral from out-of-town were Mrs, Wm. Kemnitz of Sycamore, 111., Mrs. Harold Johnson, Mr. Mrs. Everett Kemnitz and Mrs. Wm. Bode from Pipestone, Minn., Frank June
