August 'Gus' Ebrecht

August "Gus" Ebrecht, 88, died Saturday (Aug. 11, 1984) in a Sioux City hospital after a brief illness.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel. Rev. Ronald B. Flentgen of Calvary Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in Floyd Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.

Mr. Ebrecht was born June 15, 1896, in Remsen. He married Beulah Roeder June 26, 1916, at Sioux City.

The couple moved to Sioux City from Le Mars, in 1920. She died Jan. 30, 1982, in Sioux City. He worked for Albertson & Co. and later Sioux Tools Inc. from 1922 until his retirement as a foreman in 1961. Mr. Ebrecht was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church.

Survivors are three sons, Robert of Sioux City, Wallace of Houston, Texas, and Donald of Fort Meyers, Fla.; one daughter, Mrs. Paul (Dorothy) Beck of Sioux City; one brother, Frank in Colorado; three sisters, Rose of California, Lena of Missouri and Freida of Colorado; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
