A large crowd of old friends and enighbors from here attended the funeral services of James Brownlee in Sioux City Tuesday afternoon which were held at 2:30 o'clock at the whitfield Methodist Church church, Rev. James J. Davies officiating, and interment was at Graceland Park cemetery.
Mr. Brownlee was a former resident here in the south part of the township for quite a number of years. He was born in Ireland April 1, 1858, and came to the United States when he was 22 years old and settled at Ida Grove. He came to Plymouth county thirty-two years ago.
Suriviors are the widow, Mrs. Lizzie Brownlee, two sons, William J. Brownlee, of Sioux City, and Robert E. Brownlee, of Liberty township, and a daughter, Mrs. Martin Rosburg, also of Liberty township, a sister, Mrs. Martha Baker, of Primghar, and nine grandchildren.
