GEORGE "RED" PECH, 78, of Colorado Springs died Thrusday in Colorado. He retired as a purchasing agent from J. D. Adams Co. With his son, Randy, he started Adarand Constructors of Colorado Springs in 1976.

A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Monday at swan-Law Funeral Home, 501 N. Cascade AVe., wit the Rev. Warren Hile Officiating.

Mr. Pech was born Jan. 2, 1911, in Le Mars, Iowa, to George and Anna (Umanker) Pech. He attended West Mar College in Le Mars. He was married July 28, 1933, in Le Mars to Ruth Marx.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Bob of Sioux City, Iowa, Dick of Ogden, Utah, and Randy of Colorado Springs; two daughters, JoAnn Leek of Park Rapids, Minn., and Linda Cosden of Colorado Springs; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorial contributionsx be made to the American Heart Association, El Paso County Unit, 601 N. Nevada AVe., Suite 205, Colorado Spprings 80903, or to the American Cancrer Society, 555 E. Pikes Peak Ave., No. 105, Colorado Springs, 80903.
