Bernice Vanderham

Bernice Vanderham, 60, Hawarden, died Sunday (Sept. 2, 1990) at the Hawarden community hospital.

Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic church in Hawarden. Father Edmond Adams officiated. Burial was in Riverside cemetery in Akron, under direction of Porter-Dow funeral home in Hawarden.

Pallbearers were David Beeck, Dennis Beeck, Mark Richters, Jim Richters, Duane Schelling and Clarence Ver Hoeven.

Mrs. Vanderham, the former Bernice Richters was born March 30, 1930, to Dick and Emma (Henke) Richters in Akron, Iowa. She grew up in Akron, and lived in many different communities. She married Herman Vanderham, Oct. 3, 1974, and since that time she has liveed in Hawarden. Mr. Vanderham died Jan. 22, 1988, in Hawarden.

Survivors include include one son, David Beeck and his wife, Jenny of Seattle, Wash.; two brothers, Clarence Richters of Hawarden, and George Richters of of Davenport, Iowa; four sisers, Helen Martin of Hawarden, Esher Beeck of Akron, Frances Meade of Davenport, and dorothy Graff of Gordon, Neb.; and three grandchildren.
