Note: He is buried in Riverside Cemetery. The mother's maiden name is Stallbaum or Stallbum (more likely since the later obituaries of other children spell it that way). It is believed that the age of the child in the newspaper is incorrect.

Akron Register Tribune: The eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. David Vanderham, northeast of town, aged about seven years, died Tuesday morning of scarlet fever. Their two remaining children are also said to be seriously ill with that disease. Dr. Don Van of Chatsworth is in attendance.
