Note: His mother's maiden name was Middleton and his wife's maiden name was Randon.

Life's End

ALLAN R. SMITH, 82, EARLY DAY AKRON PUBLISHER DEAD

H. L. and Ray A. Smith of Akron have received word of the death of their brother Allan M. Smith in Hester Memorial Home at Bengelman, Neb., Tuesday morning, May 21, after a long illness.

He would have attained his 83rd birthday May 22.

Mr. Smith was associated with his brothers in the newspaper business in Akron in the late 1890's. In recent years he and his son, Allan T., have published the Progress at Culbertson, Neb.

After funeral services at Culbertson, Friday, interment was (that part isn't listed anywhere fortunaely I was able to find another source).

FORMER AKRON PUBLISHER DIES IN NEBRASKA

H. L. and Ray A. Smith recieved the sad advice of the death of their brother, Allan M. Smith, in the Hester Memorial Home at Benkelman, Neb., Tuesday morning after a long illness.

He would have attained his 83rd birthday May 22nd. Mr. Smith was associated with his brothers in the newspaper business in Akron in the late 1890's.

In recent years he and his son, Allan T. ahve published the Progress at Culbertson, Nebr.

After funeral services at Culbertson Friday, interment will be beside his wife in Milwaukee, Wis.
