Mary Siebens

Mary Siebens, 95, of Le Mars, died Wednesday (Feb. 6, 1985) in a hospital in Orange City.

Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Christ Lutheran church, rural Le Mars. The Rev. Jack Hebard officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery, under the direction of Mauer-Johnson funeral home.

Mrs. Siebens, the former Mary Plueger, was born Dec. 24, 1889, in Grant township, Plymouth county and was a lifelong area resident. She married Claus Siebens May 21, 1909, rural Le Mars. He died in 1955.

Mrs. Siebens was the oldest living member of Christ Lutheran church, rural Le Mars.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Herman (Minnie) Kruse, Mrs. Otto (Frances) Ludwigs and Mrs. Jack (Rose) Ludwigs, all of Le Mars; three brothers, Fred, Henry and Richard, all of Le Mars; four grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and three great great-grandchildren.
