Henry M. Funk, 79, Ireton, died Wednesday at the Hawarden hospial after a brief illness.

Funeral services will be Saturday a 10 a.m. at WEsley Unied Mehodist Chruch, Akron. Rev. Ralph Burdette will officiate. Burial will be in Le Mars Memorial Cemeery under direcion of he Schroeder Funeral Home, Akron.

He was born Dec. 14, 1891, at Lawon and was married June 9, 1915, at Balaton, Minn., to Ellen Taylor. He farmed his entire life in Plymouth County and retired to Ireton in 1964.

Survivors are his wife; three daughters, Mrs. N. Majeres, Arvada, Colo.; Mrs. Jack Matas and Mrs. Arnold Bremer, both of Akron; a son, Floyd of Simi, Calif.; four sisters and three brothers, 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
