Loren "Dutch" Burris

Loren "Dutch" Burris, 62, Saginaw, Mich., formerly of Akron died Monday (Jan. 10, 1983) at his home of an apparent heart attack.

Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Akron. The Rev. Stanley Stone officiated. Burial was in St. Joseph's Cemetery with graveside military services conducted by Hoschler Post 186, American Legion, under the direction of the Schroeder Funeral Home in Akron. The rosary was recited at 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.

Pallbearers were Craig Burris, Mike Luken, R. D. Clark, Lou Conway, Jack Conway, and Neil G. McLane.

Mr. Burris was born June 5, 1920, at Westfield. He served in the U. S. army during World War II. After the service he lived in California and had lived in Saginaw for the last 25 years. He was an iron worker.

Survivors include four sisters, Joy Neal of Temecula, Calif., Addie Luken of Craig, Kathryn Dailey of GArdena, Calif., and Sandy Borchers of Sunrise Beach, Mo.; and three brothers, James of Bullhead City, Ariz., Wayne of Sioux City and Claude of Phoenix, Ariz.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Agatha Burris.
