Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. at Roland Funeral Home in Atlantic for Mrs. Lee Bartleson, 69. Rev. Dean Williams of First United Presbyterian Church officiated.

Mrs. Walter Lyon, organist, accompanied Steve Burns as he sang “Jesus Lover of My Soul” and “When He Cometh”. Mr. and Mrs. Max Miller [should be Walker] and Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Jensen were in charge of flowers.

Casket bearers were Clayton Acker, Faye Mewhirter, Corwin Kitelinger, Folmer “Pete” Nelson, Ross Smith, and Alfred Jensen. Burial was in the Atlantic Cemetery.

Ida Amelia Bartleson, daughter of Edwin and Rose Lenz Bluem, was born Dec. 23, 1903, at Odebolt, and passed away at 3:45 p.m. Thursday, April 19, at Cass County Memorial Hospital, where she had been taken shortly before by the Anita Emergency Unit, after stricken at her home northwest of Anita. She had suffered from a respiratory ailment for a number of years.

She spent her childhood near Hornick and was graduated from the Holly Springs High School and taught school prior to her marriage to Lee Bartleson Jan. 14, 1926. They moved to a farm north of Atlantic in 1927 and later to a farm east of Brayton, their present home.

She is survived by her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Phillip (Trena) Chinitz of Atlantic, and Miss Dorothy Bartleson of Creston; a granddaughter, Anna Chinitz; a brother Ralph Burns of Hornick; a step brother, Ed Arvesen, and a stepsister, Mrs. Freda Taft, both of Sioux City. [Ed Arvesen was of Hornick]. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Mardell Mae, and a sister.
