August Blecker Early Resident Taken By Death

Well Known Pioneer Settler Of Plymouth County Dies In California

August Blecker, well known resident of Plymouth county, passed away early Sunday morning at Santa Ana, Calif., at the age of 63 years. Mr. Blecker had been in poor health for the past few years and had been confined to his bed since last August.

Burial will be in Fairhaven cemetery at Santa Ana.

August Blecker was born in Ponca Neb., and came to Plymouth county with his parents when six years of age, and made his home here until 1922 when with Mrs. Blecker he retired from farming and moved to California.

Mr. Blecker was married to Frances, of Plymouth county, who preceded him in death in February, 1932.

Survivors include two children. Milton C. Blecker, of Merrill, and Mrs. John Turton, of Santa Ana, Calif. Three sisters, Mrs. Philip Koenig, of Seattle, Wash., Christina Blecker, of Le Mars; one brother, Henry Blecker, of Toronto, S. D.

Two sisters, Mrs. Geo. Bender, of Hinton, and Miss Anna Blecker, of Le Mars, preceded him in death.
