John Weber, Long Time LeMars Resident Died Monday Afternoon

John Weber, 114 Second Ave. SE., LeMars, died July 11, at his home after several months illness.

Born December 1, 1861, in Germany, Mr. Weber was 87 years, 7 months, and 10 days old. In March, 1887, he was married at Joliet, Ill., to Elizabeth Dohrman, who with three children preceded him in death. They farmed in this community before moving to LeMars 29 years ago.

He is survived by the following: Albert and Ernest Weber, LeMars; Mrs. Susan Nussbaum, Alton; Fred Weber, Alexandria, S.D.; one brother, Jacob Weber, of LeMars; 11 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at the Mauer Funeral Home, at 2 p.m., July 13, with Rev. Walter Kieker officiating and burial was in LeMars cemetery.
