FUNERAL TODAY FOR C. FRERICHS

Akron Man, 7, Passed Away November 7 at Sioux City

Carl Claus Frerichs, Akron, Iowa, passed away at St. Joseph's Hospital in Sioux City, Iowa, on November 7th, 1946, after a sickness of only 5 days.

Carl Frerichs, 88 years, was born September 8th, 1869, in Monticello, and came to Plymouth County about 70 years ago. He made his home in Preston Township and on December 2nd, 1897 he was united in marriage to Margaretta Harms in Grant Township.

Funeral servies were held at 2 o'clock this afternoon at his home and at 2:30 o'clock in the Preston Township Lutheran Chruch. Rev. H. Stief officiated at the services and burial was in the Preston Township Lutheran Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Mauer's Funeral Home.

Surviving are two sons, Claus Frerichs of Le Mars, and George Frerichs of Akron, five daughters, Mrs. Harry Seibels (Meta) and Mrs. John Schmidt (Hilda) of Le Mars, Mrs. Otto Kreepel (Anna) of Akron, and Emma and Minnie Frerichs at home. He also leaves two brothers, Dick and Henry Frerichs of Akron, two sisters, Mrs. Dick Kruse and Mrs. Henry Nannen of Le Mars and 19 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one brothers, and two sisters.
