Died at Sioux City, Iowa, April 12th, Miss Mary Brehm, aged 17 years, 9 months, and 1 day. The circumstances attending the death of this lovely girl, makes it sad, and the news caused the deepest sorrow to the many friends of the family.

But a short time ago, she came from Sioux City to spend her vacation with a brother and sister at this place, when she suddenly fell ill, but in a few days seemed to be somewhat better, and she wished to return to the city, when a relapse occured and she sank rapidly until the end.

The remains were brought to Melbourne on Saturday morning's train and buried on Sunday morning by the side of her father and mother. Rev. Mr. Stuart of Sioux City and Rev. Gretchel, of Le Mars officiated. The coffin was covered with flowers.

An anchor of roses was sent by the pupils and teacher of the A Grammer school of which she was a pupil. A beautiful star of roses by Mrs. and Mrs. Frank Clark; a sickle from Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Clark and a wreath from Mrs. J. J. Shlawig, all of Sioux City.
