Former Le Mars Girl Succombs to Pneumonia.

Ireton Ledger: Mrs. Floyd Bartlett died at her home in Ireton last Friday, November 15, 1918, at 12:55 p.m. following an attack of Spanish influenze aided materially from a weak heart. Age 30 years, 10 months, and 2 days. The remains were taken to Hawarden on Monday where funeral services were held and interment was made in the Hawarden cemetery.

Mary Delorice Hennessy was born to Mr. and Mrs. E. Hennessy at Le Mars, Iowa, on February 3, 1888, and she made her home with her parents in her native town until she reached womanhood.

She taught school in Plymouth county for four years until November 25, 1907, when she was married to Floyd Bartlett. Shortly after their marriage the couple went to South Dakota where they engaged in farming and after four years in that state returned to Iowa and continued farm operation in this vicinity until last spring when they retired from this occupation and moved to Ireton where they have since resided.

Four children were born to this union, Evelyn, Claude, Edward, and Doroty, whom with the husband are left to mourn the death of a loving and affectionate wife and mother. The deceased is also survived by the parents, a sister, Florence, and a brother, Edward, who is serving with the American expeditionary forces in France.
