KINGSLEY:
The funeral of Mrs. Marie Poppe Barto, of near Moville, was held at the east Church of the Brethren Sunday afternoon, conducted by Elder H. H. Wingert, of Elkhorn township. She was born in Germany, near Berlin, April 4, 1882, and came to this country in 1895. Married to Irven Barto July 12, 1901, and died at her home May 2, 1913, aged 31 years and 28 days. She was a consistent member of the Church of the Brethren since 1898. Besides her relatives in Germany, she leaves her husband and little Clare to mourn her departure. Interment in the Brethren’s cemetery southeast of Kingsley.
