Mrs. John Ohlrichs

Mrs. John Ohlrichs, 86, of Le Mars died Monday (Oct. 17, 1983) in a nursing home in Le Mars.

Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. John's American Lutheran church in Le Mars. The Rev. David Kramer and the Rev. William Striepe officiated. Burial was in St. Paul's Lutheran cemetery, rural Merrill, under direction of the Mauer-Johnson funeral home.

Mrs. Ohlrichs, the former Katherine Borchers, was born July 13, 1897, in Plymouth county and was a lifelong resident of the Le Mars and Merrill area. She married John Ohlrichs June 25, 1919, in rural Merrill. They farmed for many years in the Merrill area. Mr. Ohlrichs died in 1959 and she moved to Le Mars in 1963. She was a member of St. John's American Lutheran church.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Leonard (Dorothy) Dirks and Mrs. Walter (Helen) Johnson, both of Le Mars, and Mrs. Robert (Bernice) Less of Akron; a son, Donald of Merrill; two sisters, Mrs. Anna borchers and Mrs. Oscar (Margaret) Peters, both of Le Mars; 12 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
