HEART ATTACK IS FATAL TO AKRON FARMER ON TRIP

Rites Are Held Last Friday Afternoon For John Neunaber

Th entire community joins in extending sincere sympathy to the family and other relatives of the late John Neunaber in their bereavement over his sad and sudden departure on Tuesday, Nov. 5, when he was stricken with a heart attack on a highway near Hampton, Iowa, while driving home from a visit with relatives at Dysart, Iowa, accompanied by his wife and Mrs. Louise Martin.

When Mr. Neunaber suddenly let go of his auto, his wife gave him assistance and Mrs. Martin grasped the steering wheel and turned off the ignition to stop the vehicle and prevent possibly and even worse disaster.

John b. Neunaber was born February 14, 1894, in western Plymouth county, the son of Mr. and Mrs. H. Neunaber, early day residents here. He grew to manhood on the farm three miles east and one mile south of Akron. On April 15, 1925, he was united in marriage with Miss Mae Rozell and they began farming the place which has remained his home for sixty years.

Mr. Neunaber was a veteran of World War I and member of Hoschler Post, No. 186, American Legion. He was an industrious, upright citizen, a devoted husband and father, and wasx held in high respect by a host of friends.

Survivors include his wife, Mae; two sons, Donald and Marvin; a daughter, Mrs. Daryl Port, and three grandsons, all of Akron.

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon, last week, at Wesley Methodist church, Rev. Donald Roberts officiating. Mrs. Hugh Swift was soloist and Mrs. Orin Harris was accompanist.

Pallbearers werre Harold Whiting, Sr., Gerald Henrich, Ben Hilrichs, Henry P. Wiler, Ruben Anderson and J. Fred Dirks. Burial in Riverside cemetrery was with military honors by Hoschler Post, American Legion.

Out of town relatives in attencance Mrs. Louis Albertson, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Albertson, Mr. and Mrs Richard Albertson, and Lou Ann, all of Dysart, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. Emery Rozell, of Plattsmouth, Nebr.; Mr. and Mrs. Seth Rozell, of Lake Superior, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. Victor Krueger, of Janesvill, Wis.
