Died
At the home of her daughter, Mrs. A. H. Pfaffle, of Henry township, March 21, 1901, aged of 81 years and 11 days, Mrs., Ulreka Yagle Teptow. She was born in Germany March 10, 1820. When a young woman she was united in marriage to Wm. Treptow, who died March 10, 1889.
To them were born three children, two of whom, C. W. Treptow and Mrs. A. F. Pfaffle, remain to mourn the loss of mother, one daughter having preceded her to the Great Beyond some years since.
With her husband she came to America in 1859, and settled in New York state where they resided for nine years, after which they moved to Benton county, Iowa, thence to Plymouth county where they have since resided and where both laid down their cross. The remains of Mrs. Treptow were laid to rest beside those of her loving husband in the Pleasant Hill cemetery who had preceded her some years. She was well known by many people of Marcus, was a kind and loving mother, and her demise, although she had lived the allotted time, was a sad blow to the loving ones left behind who have the sympathy of all in their hour of bereavement. Rev. Harvey, of Marcus, officiated. —Marcus News.
