Victim of Tragic Shooting Accident

Cleaning of rifle in his room caused the death of Brice Huntrer 18-year-old high school student living south of Westfield on the Broken Kettle road, Saturday evening, March 28. The young man was found by his father, Dale Hunter lying across his bed upstairs after the shot had been heard. The bullet had passed through his chest and lodged in his spine. Dr. W. J. The young man attended Sunnyside high school. His future seemed most promising and he was popular among the younger set of his community. The many friends of the Hunter family extend deepest sympathy in their sand bereavement.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the home, conducted by Rev. Wm. Caldwell, of Knox Presbyterian church, Sioux City. The services were largely attended and there were many beautiful floral offerings. A young man from Sioux City sang two beautiful solos, with harp accompaniment.
