Mrs. Anna Streng
Death came to Mrs. Anna Streng, who has been a patient at the Sacred Heart hospital for the past three years, on October 7, 1953 at the age of 86 years, 6 months and 29 days.
Anna Durst was born March 18, 1867 in Bisen, Luxembuorg and has lived in LeMars since coming to this country when she was 18 years old. She had been sick only a short time prior to her death.
On December 31, 1899, she was married to Otto G. Berner. He died in 1912 and in 1920 she was united in marriage to John Streng who also preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 10 at St. Joseph's Catholic church here with Msgr. J. D. Fisch officiating. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery under direction of the Wiltgen-Luedtke funeral home.
Survivors include two sons, F.A. Berner of Minneapolis, Minn.; E. F. Berner of Fort Dodge; two daughters, Mrs. Orrin Kelly of LeMars and Mrs. V. P. Freyman of Chicago and either grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Fred; Theodore and Matt Durst.
The Catholic Daughters of America will recite the rosary at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday for the repose of the soul of the deceased. Mrs. Streng was a member of the Catholic Daughters and the Christian Mother's Society.
Friends may call at the Wiltgen-Luedtke funeral home until time of services.
