WAS A LIFELONG RESIDENT PERRY TOWNSHIP
Frank J. Vondrak, well known farmer of Perry township, died at his farm home Thursday, June 7, 1945, at 5:25 a.m., after a lingering illness.
Mr. Vondrak was born October 8, 1883, in Woodbury county. When he was two years old he moved with his parents to Plymouth county. He was united in marriage to Gertrude M. Muir, June 30, 1914, at St. Michael’s church in Leeds.
Mr. Vondrak was a member of Blessed Sacrament church in Sioux City.
He is survived by his widow and 12 children, seven sons, Francis of Hinton; Harold, petty officer 1-c serving on a destroyer in the South Pacific; Donald of Hinton; and Floyd, Gilbert, Eldon, and Phil, all at home; five daughters, Mrs. James Maxey of Sioux City, Mrs. Clark Hansen, living at home Mrs. Lloyd Casper of Hinton, and Gladys and Shirley at home; six grandchildren; and two brothers, Joseph of Hinton and Thomas of Sioux City.
Funeral services were held at 9 o’clock Monday forenoon in the Blessed Sacrament Catholic church at Sioux City. Rev. Newman Flanagan officiated and interment was in Calvary Cemetery.
