NORMAN BLACKMORE
Norman Blackmore, 61, of Lennox, South Dakota, died Friday, August 27, 1999, at Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux Falls due to complications of a pulmonary condition. Mr. Blackmore who was born April 4, 1938, at Hinton attended rural school and graduated from Hinton High School in 1956. He married Joretta Heien on June 10, 1960, at Merrill. The couple made their home in Sioux City for a short time then moved to Lennox in 1960. He worked for West Construction and then for Cargill for many years. Most recently he worked for Sioux Merchant Patrol and Security in Sioux Falls. Mr. Blackmore served in the Army National Guard. He was a member of First English Lutheran Church in Lennox. Survivors include his wife Joretta; three daughters Linda Dean of Tampa, Florida; Nancy Isom of Neosho, Missouri; Amy Meyer of Tampa, Florida; six grandchildren; five brothers Lawrence of Hinton; John and Orville of Merrill; Walter of Rochelle, Illinois; Larry of Omaha; four sisters Juanita Schoen and Mary Crippen of Merrill; Dorothy Hesebeck of Sioux City; Lorraine Hawkins of Maurice. Burial at the Merrill Hillside Cemetery.
