Mrs. J. D. Tindall Succumbs at 65
Tuesday Afternoon Funeral Services Set

Mrs. J. D. Tindall, 65, a native of Plymouth County, died Friday [Jan. 5, 1951] at Sacred Heart hospital at the age of 65 years, 1 month and 25 days, following an illness which lasted three years.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the First Baptist Church in LeMars where she was a member, with the Rev. Frank Patterson officiating, and burial will be in the Pleasant Valley cemetery at Adaville.

Mrs. Tindall was born Nov. 11, 1885, in Plymouth County, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Brown. Her marriage took place June 28, 1905 at the home of her parents in Liberty township.

Following her marriage, she and her husband made their home on a farm near LeMars until they moved to town in 1946.

She is survived by her husband; four sons, Stanley of LeMars, Clark of Akron, Iowa; Robert of St. Louis, Mo.; Richard of Tarzana, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Mildred Hunter, LeMars; Mrs. Florence Johnson, Big Springs, Texas; and Mrs. Mary White of Oak Park, Ill., and 10 grandchildren.

Also surviving are four brothers and a sister, Mrs. Alice Bryant of Akron. The brothers are Grant Brown of Akron, and Nelson, Elmer and Bertsel Brown, all of Merrill. A sister and a brother preceded her in death.

Mrs. Tindall was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Funeral arrangements were made by the Mauer funeral home.
