Father Mrs. DeWall And Mrs. Parkinson

Relatives living in Le Mars were notified yesterday of the death of John Thompson, father of Mrs. Nettie DeWall and Mrs. Myrtle Parkinson of this city.

His death took place Monday at the home of his son, Roy Thompson, at Blairstown, Iowa. Mr. Thompson lived in Le Mars a while and was known to a number of residents.

Mr. Thompson was 86 years of age and was a pioneer Iowan. Besides the daughters living here he leaves five sons, Jesse Thompson of Windom, Minn., Walter of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Orren of Van Home, Iowa, Merle of Cedar Falls, and Rev. Harry Thompson.

His wife died twelve years ago and since that time Mr. Thompson made his home with his children.

The funeral services will be held Wednesday at Blairstown, Iowa.
