Death of Maurice Hennessey

Maurice Hennessey died at the city hospital on Friday morning at half past six o'clock. He had been sick for a week with bowel trouble and on Wednesday was taken to the hospital. Pneumonia set in and be sank rapidly dying on Friday. Dr. Warren, of Sioux City came up on Wednesday to consult the Le Mars physicians in attendance on the case, as it had been considered that an operation would be necessary. Dr. Warren decided that it would be useless to attempt an operation as the patient did not bare sufficient strength to withstand the ordeal.

Maurice Hennessey has lived in Plymouth county for the past twenty seven years coming here with his parents from Jones county, Iowa; where he was born. He was thirty-seven years of age. The family lived in Preston township for many years and when the family moved to town Maurice Hennessey bought a farm in Westfield township. A year ago last summer be came to town and had made his home with his relatives since.

He leaves an aged father and brother and two sisters to mourn his early death. His father and his brother Edward reside in this city. Three sisters are Mrs. Michael Gleason and Mrs. Hermann Bliss, of this county.

The funeral was held on Sunday morning at St. James' church at twelve o'clock Bev. Father O’Farrell officiating.
