Eddie Francis Raynor was born in Taylor county, Iowa, February 21, 1888, and died May 18, 1915, at 11:45 p.m., at St. Joseph’s hospital, Sioux City, following an operation for appendicitis and diabetes and thus was 27 years,2 months, and 27 days of age. On December 9, 1908, he was united in marriage with Miss Minnie Henke, who, with three little sons,Melvin, Francis and Charles, survive. He is also survived by his mother, four half-brothers and two half-sisters; his aged grandmother, Mrs. S. J. Petty, of Westfield township who raised him from the age of five weeks; as uncle Jos. Petty, and two aunts, Mrs. Royer Lias and Mrs. Emma Pendleton.
Eddie was of a bright and jovial nature and will be greatly missed in the community where he lived, as well as by the bereaved family.
Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon, may 20, at the home of his cousin, Peter Richters, and was conducted by Rev. R. L. Stuart. Interment was in Riverside cemetery.
