RORIE LUDWIG

Funeral services for Rorie Ludwig, 21, were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Trinity Lutheran church. Rev. Lee R. Mentink officiated and burial was in the church cemetery.

Rorie was killed instantly in a 1-vehicle accident at 11 p.m. Friday about 5 ½ miles south of Sioux Center on Hiway 75. He and two friends, Mike Jost, LeMars, and Michael Lindsey, Merrill, were returning home after the basketball game in Hull. Michael Lindsey was seriously injured and Mike Jost was not seriously injured.

Rorie Ludwig was born Oct. 10, 1959, in LeMars to Mr. and Mrs. Ernie (Lorna Wiener) Ludwig. He graduated in 1977 from Hinton high school and from Spencer school of business.

He was employed in retail meat sales at Fareway grocery store in LeMars. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran church and a lifelong Plymouth county resident.

He was preceded in death by his father on Oct. 23, 1980.

Survivors are his mother, Mrs. Lorna Ludwig and three brothers, Roger and Brad of Hinton and Chuck of Sioux City.
