Life's End

Otto Doering, 73, lifetime LeMars resident, died Tuesday at Sacred Heart hospital after an illness of six months. He had been hospitalized 10 days.

Otto Oltmann Doering was born April 23, 1892, in Elgin township, near LeMars. His marriage to Tena Renken took place in Grant township July 17, 1927.

The was the son of the late Sena Haage Doering and John Doering.

Mr. Doering was a retired farmer and the couple on route 3, LeMars.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Christ Lutheran church in Grant township near LeMars. Burial will be in the church cemetery there under the direction of the Mauer funeral home.

A prayer service will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Rev. Dennis D. Mueller will officiate.

He is survived by his wife, Tena, and was preceded in death by his parents.
