Frank Kass, an aged and wealthy citizen of Remsen, died Thursday night of Brights disease. His brother, John Kass, resides in Alton, and his son Joe Kass is also a resident of this city. Mrs. Nic Graff of Granville, is a daughter of the deceased, and four other children residing in various parts of the state. The funeral will be held Saturday morning at Remsen, and a large number of relatives and friends from this city will attend the ceremony. He was a prosperous energetic citizen, and his death is a severe loss to the community where he resides.

DEATH OF FRANK KASS

Frank Kass, one of the early settlers of Plymouth county, died at his home in Remsen on Thursday night after an illness lasting several months. Mr. Kass was born in Luxembourg in 1820, and came to the United States when a young man. He was a resident of Jackson county for many years before coming to this county where he engaged in farming. He amazed a comfortable fortune and some years ago retired from active work and built himself a fine home in Remsen.
