Mrs. Emil Becker Died Thursday After An Extended Illness

Mrs. Emil Becker passed away early Thursday morning at the Sacred Heart hospital after an extended illness.

Lena Becker, nee Eilers, was born June 10, 1890, at Harvel, 111., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Eilers. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. She was married January 17, 1912, at LeMars to Emil Becker. She had lived in LeMars for the past 17 years. Mrs. Becker was 58 years, 2 months, and 2 days old at the time of her death.

She is survived by her husband, Emil; and one daughter, Darleen, at home. She is also survived by two sisters, Mrs, Anna Schulz of Craig, and Mrs. Marie Baack of Sioux City; four brothers, Garrett Eilers of Hawarden, John and Ed of LeMars, Fred of Willmar, Minn.

Her parents, five brothers and one sister preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 14, at 1:30 at the residence, 219 Central Ave,, N. W., and at 2 o'clock at the St, John's American Lutheran church, Rev. L.L. Belk, pastor. Interment will be made in the LeMars city cemetery.
