Carl Jansen Harms, 72, Washington township, LeMars, died unexpectedly at this home Sunday.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Luken-Johnson funeral home, LeMars, with Rev. Robert Reitz officiating. Burial will be in Christ Lutheran Church Cemetary, Grant township, under direction of Luken-Johnson funeral home at 2 p.m.

He was born January 29, 1897 in Washington township to the late John and Katharina (Rewertz) Harms. He lived in Washington township all his life where he farmed. He never married.

He was a member of Christ Lutheran church, Grant township.

Survivors are four brothers, Fred and Alfred of LeMars, Donald of Linn Grove and Clarence of Hawarden; four sisters, Mrs. Meta Eilers of Sioux City, Mrs. George (Kathryn) Carstensen of LeMars, Mrs Hans (Theresa) Engel of Sioux City and Hilda Harms of LeMars; and several nieces and nephews.
