Mrs. George Robinson

Mrs. George Robinson,an old resident of this county, passed away at the home of her son-in-law, James Ruble, on West Fifth street, yesterday morning about half past three.

Mrs. Robinson did not long survive the death of her husband, who died on November 6, last, at his home in Akron. Mrs. Robinson had been in failing health for a long time, due to the infirmities of increasing age. About three weeks ago she came to Le mars from Akron to make her home with her daughter, Mrs. James Ruble.

Mrs. Robinson was a native of Stock-with England, where she was born on August 2, 1839. Her maiden name was Anna Mary Brown. She grew to young womanhood and was married in her native land to James Robinson. They came to America forty-eight years ago and settled in Illinois near Flora, Fulton county, where they lived for four years. Thirty years ago they came to Plymouth county and located on a farm near Akron to make their home.

Mrs. Robinson is survived by her daughter, Mrs. James Ruble. A son, James Robert, lost his life several years ago by drowning in the Big Sioux river. She also leaves two brothers James and William, who reside in England.

The remains will be taken to Akron for burial beside her husband. The services will be held at the Methodist church at the place at 2 o’clock on Wednesday afternoon.

Mrs. Robinson was well known in the west part of the county and had a large acquaintance among the older residents, by whom she was greatly respected and esteemed.
