Mrs. Louise Lang [Long] died at her home Thursday after about a week of illness. She was 82 years of age and an early settler in this community. She is survived by six children, three girls and three boys, twenty-five grandchildren and twenty-eight great grandchildren. Her husband, William Lang [Long], preceded her in death three years ago. The funeral was held at the Christ Lutheran church Easter Sunday. – Le Mars Semi-Weekly Sentinel, April 10, 1931, page 3.

Note: The Lang and Long family are often confused in the Remsen Cemetery. Generally the Long family came from Germany and the Lang family came from Switzerland.
