MCHALE, RIEKEN, THEILEN

Kathryn E. McHale, 90, Brunsville, died Sunday, June 17, at Brentwood Good Samaratian Center in Le Mars after an extended illness. She was a lifelong Plymouth county resident.

Services were held June 20 at St. Peter Lutheran church in Brunsville. The Rev. Jack Hebard officiated with burial in Le Mars Memorial cemetery under direction of the Mauer-Johnson funeral home.

The former Kathryn Rieken, was born Sept. 29, 1899 at rural Struble to Henry and Margaret Theilen Rieken. She married Jesse O. McHale May 15, 1919 in Sioux City. Mr. McHale died n 1932. She was a member of St. Peter Lutheran church Brunsville.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Marian McHale of Burnsvill; two daughters and sons-in-laws,Marjorie and Gaylord Hopkins of Primghar, and Kathy Cuss) and Daryl Jeffers of Edgewater, Colo.; a daughter-in-law, Arlene (Mr. Henry)McHale of Craig; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; and a brother-in-law, Henry Buhman of Sioux City.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sons, Henry and Bernard; a great-grandchild, Clarence(Skippy) Bell; four sisters; and one brother.
