Was Former Resident of Plymouth County Mary MATHWIG

Mrs. Mary MATHWIG, 90, former resident of Plymouth county, died Saturday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Anna DYBDAHL, at Vancouver, Wash.

Mrs. MATHWIG was born Feb. 10, 1866, at Prague, Czechoslovakia. She came to the United States and to Iowa at the age of 8. She was married to Julius MATHWIG in 1881.

Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Tillie WADDLE of Tyler, Minn., amd Mrs. DYBDAHL; a son, Frank of Sioux City; three brothers, Frank WETROSKY of LeMars, John WETROSKY of Pierson, Ia., and John WETROSKY of Sioux City; seven grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. [1956]

Friends and former neighbors from here attended the funeral services for Mrs. Mary Mathwig, 90, a former resident of Sioux City and Plymouth county, who died March 17, at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Anna Dybdahl of Vancouver, Wash., on Thursday afternoon at the Nelson Berger funeral home in Sioux City. Rev. Robert Wendel of the Rustin Ave Methodist church, officiated. Burial was in Liberty township cemetery.

~NOTE: Mrs. Mary Mathwig is buried in the Liberty-Perry Township Cemetery, Plymouth County, Iowa, with her husband, Julius Mathwig.

FRANK WETROSKY’S SISTER
DIES IN WASHINGTON

Mrs. Mary Mathwig, 90, former resident of Sioux City and Plymouth county, died Saturday, March 17, at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Anna Dybdahl, at Vancouver, Wash.

Mrs. Mathwig was born Feb. 10, 1866, at Prague, Czechoslovakia. She came to the United States and to Iowa at the age of 8.

She was married to Julius Mathwig in 1881.

Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Tillie Waddle of Tyler, Minn., and Mrs. Dybdahl; a son, Frank, of Sioux City; three brothers, Frank Wetrosky of LeMars, Joe Wetrosky of Pierson, and John Wetrosky, of Sioux City; seven grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

The body will arrive Wednesday at the Nelson-Berger Northside Funeral Home in Sioux City.
