William C. Closner

William C. "Bill" CLOSNER, 82, of Sioux City died Tuesday, Feb. 23, 1993, at Indian Hills Care Center in Sioux City.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel in Sioux City with the Rev. Bruce SELLMER, Chaplain of St. Luke's Regional Medical Center, officiating. Burial will be in Liberty - Perry Towmship cemetery, rural Hinton, with military graveside services conducted by the Monahan Post 64, American Legion. Visitation wil be 3 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Closner was born Feb. 14, 1911, in Plymouth county, the son of Charles A. and Susie Kate ( LUCHON ) CLOSNER. He farmed with his father in Plymouth county for many years. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in Germany. After the service he worked for Edwin BEAULIEU Service Station in sales, service and trucking for more then 40 years.

Survivors include a brother, Merlin D. CLOSNER of Topeka, Kan.; and three sisters, Lucille E. REICH of Lakewood, Calif., Laura H. HILL of Kansas City, Kan., and Amanda G. ABEEL of Sioux City.

He was preceeded in death by a brother, Valentine A. CLOSNER.

Pallbearers will be Charles PRIDIE, Tom FLANNERY Sr., Ervin VEHE, Lawrence VONDRAK, Norman GRAHAM and Francis VONDRAK.
