FUNERAL THURSDAY for 34-YEAR LE MARS TEACHER

Martha Ella Kuebler, 89, Seward, Neb., a former longtime LeMars school teacher, died Sunday (May 24, 1987) at Memorial Hospital at Seward after a lengthy illness. She had been hospitalized since January.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at United Church of Christ at Seward. Rev. Henry Vieth will officiate and burial will be in Blue Mound Cemetery near Milford, Neb., under direction of the Woods Bros. Funeral Home at Seward.

She was born March 12, 1898, at Milford, Neb., to Jacob and Louise Cast Kuebler. Miss Kuebler was a graduate of Peru, Neb., State Teachers College and the University of Nebraska.

Her teaching career of 47 years began in rural schools. She then taught elementary and high school classes, 34 of those years at LeMars High School. She retired to Seward in 1978.

She was a member of Calvary United Methodist church while in LeMars. She was also a member of the Iowa State Education Association and of the Association for Retired People.

Survivors are a sister, Carrie Herrold of Seward; a brother, William of St. Petersburg, Fla.; nieces, nephews; and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Charlie and Franklin.
