Henry Frerichs Jr.
Henry John Frerichs, Jr., 58, Maurice, died Sunday (Aug. 3, 1975) at his home in Maurice after an extended illness. He had lived t he last eight years at Maurice.
Mr. Frerichs was a retired stationary engineer and worked at the mental health institute at Cherokee for 15 years before retiring in 1973. He had lived in the Akron-Hawarden vicinity and Le Mars before moving to Maurice.
He was born Feb. 17, 1917, in Plymouth county and was the son of Henry R. and Mary Erks Frerichs. His marriage to May Heubrock took place Sept. 6, 1940 in Hawarden. He was a member of Grace Lutheran church, Le Mars.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Grace Lutheran church in Le Mars with Rev. James Rassbach officiating. Burial will be in Le Mars Memorial cemetery under direction of the Mauer funeral home in Le Mars. A prayer service will be held at 8 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.
Survivors are his wife May of Maurice; a daughter, Mrs. Lowell (Lorna) Hagar, Council Bluffs; a son James H. Frerichs, Ames; his father Henry Frerichs and mother Mary Frerichs both of Akron; three brothers, Arnold and Marvin both of Sioux City, and Alvin of Akron, and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Nancy and by a brother William Frerichs.
