HEART ATTACK PROVES FATAL TO CHARLES E. NALL
Funeral Services for Well Known Akron Man Held Sunday Afternoon
A brief mention was made in these columns last week of the death of Charles Nall, who succumbed to a sudden heart attack Thursday evening, May 6, 1937, at 10 o’clock, at his home northwest of town, aged 50 years and 16 days.
Charles Edward Nall was born April 20, 1887, at Gilead, Missouri. He came to Akron when a young man and has since made his home here, being for a number of eyars employed in the Moniagne and H. W. Johnson pool halls, but in recent years has engaged in truck farming, northwest of town. A man of industrious habits, honorable in his dealings and of a jovial nature, he made many friends, who regret his sudden and untimely death.
He leaves to mourn his departure his beloved wife, Clara Nall, and two daughters, Mrs. Andy Miller, of Sioux City, and little Connie Rae; four sisters, Mrs. S. E. Elliott, of Indianapolis, Indiana; Mrs. Lawrencde Fletcher, Mrs. Frank Bennett and Mrs. Pearl Scott, and one brother, Wm. Nall, all of Akron.
The sympathy of the community is extended the sorrowing relatives.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon in the Christian church, conducted by Rev. W. B. Zane, the pastor. There was a large attendance at the services. Hymns were sung by a quartet, comprised of Izetta Burke, Winifred Thatcher, Lewis McDonald and Ronald Burke, with Mrs. W. H. Mc Donald as accompanist. Ronald Burke also sang a solo. Interment was in Riverside Cemetery.
Relatives who came from a distance were Miss Dorothy Scott and Miss Helen Bennett, students in college at Springfield, S. D., and Harold Scott, from CCC camp at Whiting, Iowa.
