Herman A. Ahrens

Herman A. Ahrens, 83, Elk Point, died Saturday, April 24, 1976, at an Elk Point nursing home.

Services were held Tuesday. April 27 at the Anderson Funeral Home. Elk Point, with, Rev. Marvin Ketterling officiating. Burial was in the Elk Point cemetery.

Mr. Ahrens. was born Jan. 24, 1893, in Akron, Iowa. He married Jennie V. Hewitt Oct. 18. 1928, and they farmed near Akron until retiring in 1962. They moved to Elk Point. Mrs. Ahrens died April I I . 1973.

Pall bearers will be Virgil Gabel, Rick Gabel, Dale Huettman. Harry Hoffmann, Richard Watterman and David Ahrens.

Survivors 'include four daughters, Mrs. Virgil (Irene) Gabel, Mrs. Dale (Mary) Huettmann and Mrs. Harry (Rosie) Hoffman, all of Akron, and Mrs. 'Richard (Ruby) Waterman of Sioux City; a son. Harry of Sioux City; IS grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, George of Hawarden; and three sisters, Mrs. Irene Sullivan and Miss -Maggie Ahrens. both of Elk Point, and Mrs. Mary Siebels of Branston. Neb.
