MRS. JOHN HELMRICHS PIONEER PRESTON WOMAN DIED IN SLEEP, JUNE 7.

Diedrike Helmrichs, who had lived in Preston township for almost 60 years, died in her farm home in her sleep Tuesday, June 7.

She was born in Germany, December 4, 1875, and came to America with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Emka Becker, at the age of 16 years. She was married October 31, 1891, in Preston township to John Henry Helmrichs, who died January 15, 1948.

They had two sons, Henry of Ireton, and John, of Akron, a daughter, Mrs. Art Moeller, who lives in Illinois, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the home and at 2:30 in the Preston Lutheran Church with Rev. Harry Stief officiating and burial in the Preston Lutheran cemetery.
