Anna Margaret Delaney, a LeMars native and lifelong resident, died Wednesday (Dec. 1, 1982) at Santa Clara, Calif., after a long illness. Funeral services were held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in LeMars. Rev. Leonard Root officiated and burial was in LeMars Memorial Cemetery under direction of the Mauer Funeral Home in LeMars.

Anna Ahlrich was born to Edward and Sophia Bohlken Ahlrich in LeMars June 28,1897. She married Martin A. Delaney May 7,1917. He died in August 1947. She was also preceded in death by two sons. She was a lifelong LeMars resident and spent the winters in California with her daughters. She was a member of United Methodist Church.

Survivors are eight daughters, Alwayne Galvin, LeMars; Mrs. Ben (Phyllis) Kamphoff, Sheldon; Mrs. Errol (Lavonne) Brouillette, Cape Coral, Fla.; Mrs. John (Charlene) Boyle, Rogers, Ark.; Mrs. Albert (Catherine) Topp, Santa Clara; Mrs. Harley (Esther) Kirk, Highland, Calif.; Mrs. Gene (Thelma) Coats, Glencoe, Okla., and Mrs. Charles (Marylan) Long, Tulsa; a son, William Delaney, Union, Iowa; 26 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. A. C. Grau, Hialeah, Florida.
