Mrs. R.A. Hawkins Was
A Lifelong Resident of Seney

Mrs. R. A. Hawkins, 82, lifetime resident of Elgin Township, died Saturday (Sept. 11, 1965) at Sacred Heart Hospital after a long illness.

Her parents were the late Edwin and Mary Alice (Alderson) Lancaster.

Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Seney Methodist Church. Rev. Milo Morris will officiate. Burial will be in the Seney Cemetery under the direction of Mauer Funeral Home.

Mrs. Hawkins, the former Elizabeth Lancaster, was born Feb. 3, 1883, near LeMars. She was married to Mr. Hawkins on June 5, 1907. He died in 1935.

Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Norris (Harriet) Hawkins of rural LeMars; a sister, Mrs. Edward Buss of LeMars; a brother, M. J. Lancaster of rural LeMars and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ira and Vincent Lancaster. From the funeral program.....Pallbearers were: William Lancaster, David Hawkins, Robert Lancaster, Darrell Lancaster, and Warren Mayer.
