Mrs. Larry Swift

Mrs. Larry (Donna) Swift, 31, Le Mars, died Wednesday, (May 11, 1977) at Floyd Valley hospital after a lengthy illness.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, at 10:30 a.m. at St. James Catholic church, Le Mars, with Rev. George McFadden officiating. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery under direct of the Luedtke funeral home.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p. Friday. Parish rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Casket bearers will be Gary Berkenpas, Wayne Anstine, Dennis Kowalke, Ned MaComb, Orville Kenowith and Mark Doering.

Madonna Plendl was born June 6, 1945. in Le Mars to Edwin and Secret Spink Plendl. She attended schools at Remsen-Union and was graduated in 1963 from Kingsley-Pierson high school. She was a saleswoman at Spurgeon's and at B and B stores in Le Mars. Her marriage to Larry Swift took place Oct. 3, 1964. at St..Joseph's church, Lincoln township.

Mrs. Swift had lived in Le Mars all her married life, with the exception of two years in Ida Grove when her husband was assigned as manager of the Bomgaars store.

Survivors are her husband Larry and three sons, Bryan 12, Bradley 11 and Brent 4, all of Le Mars; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Plendl, Kingsley; three sisters, Mrs: Donald (Dorothy) Kennedy in Karachi, Pakistan; Mrs. Fred (Eileen) Hayden, Correctionville and Mrs. Joseph (Connie) Nolen, Sioux City, and a brother, William of Fort Dodge.

She was preceded in death by a daughter Stacey Sue in 1971.
