WILHELMINA BENDIXEN

Mrs. William (Wilhelmina) Bendixen, of Gilmore City, Iowa, mother of Dr. F. C. Bendixen of LeMars, passed away at the home of her only son on Sunday evening, February 28, following a heart attack. Mrs. Bendixen had been feeling well and had been up and around. She was 81 years of age.

Wilhelmina Thompson was born December 7, 1873, in Racine, Wisconsin, but the family soon moved to Fort Dodge, Iowa, which was her home for many years. Mr. Bendixen passed away on July 1, 1947, following a sudden heart attack.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 2, at 3:30 P. M. at the Methodist church at Gilmore City. Burial was there.

Dr. F. C. Bendixen of LeMars is the only surviving child. Also surviving is one grandchild, Donna Lee Bendixen Gustason; three nephews and 3 nieces who live in Minnesota. All of the nieces and nephews attended funeral services.

Mrs. Bendixen was preceded in death by her husband, two sisters and her parents. She was the oldest member of her family and the last to be laid to rest.
